Megan Yates teaches professional singing lessons and performance/style coaching in Utah and internationally via Skype. With over 15 years of high-class education and teaching experience, Megan has trained hundreds of voices to sing with functional freedom and vocal balance. She is an Ambassador and Mentor Instructor for the Institute for Vocal Advancement - an international teaching organization dedicated to the education and integrity of voice teachers around the globe. vocaladvancement.com

Megan also brings to her teaching an extensive musical theater performance background in National Tours, US Premiers, and professional theaters across the nation. Her favorite roles include Kim in Show Boat, Lucie Manette in A Tale of Two Cities, Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde, Cosette in Les Miserables and Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime. This gives her an exciting edge as a vocal instructor.

Ever since she was exposed to this teaching method, and after experiencing that singing didn’t have to hurt and that vocal exercises were actually meant to “warm you up” (imagine that!!!), she has been on a passionate mission to spread the wonderful gift of vocal freedom to the world and to help singers step into and understand their own UNIQUE instrument. Myth buster: Singing is supposed to FEEL GOOD!
