EMILY RICE

Emily Rice plays the violin with the joy of a jam session and the depth of a prayer. Shaped by jazz standards, classic rock and cinematic soundtracks, Emily takes her classical training and infuses it with joy and color. Her performances spark memories and transport listeners into a space where God's love can be felt.

Emily has performed and travelled internationally with orchestras and other ensembles in more than 15 countries. Locally, she appears frequently as a soloist and with her performance quartet, Salt City Strings, as well as her wedding quartet, The Maywood Ensemble. She also performs with local bands and in orchestras alongside artists such as The Eagles, Kristin Chenoweth, Marie Osmond, Andrea Bocelli and more. Emily considers it her greatest honor to bear testimony through her violin with the Orchestra at Temple Square as a musical missionary with the Tabernacle Choir. This sacred calling has profoundly deepened her conviction and love for the Savior, and she invites audiences to come experience a tidal wave of the Spirit in person in their live Sunday performances.

A San Francisco Bay Area native and BYU graduate now rooted in Bountiful, Utah, Emily is also a co-founder of the Bountiful Philharmonia and records regularly with regional artists. Offstage, she fills her life with family and friends, kayaking, pickleball, photography, and travel- always chasing the next adventure. A wife and mother of six, she and her family bought a mini school bus 13 years ago, fondly named "Bus Da Move", to drive to the Nauvoo Temple Pageant and perform together, creating unforgettable memories- and they've kept the bus rolling ever since. Emily lives by the motto "Life is a composition; make yours worth listening to."
